I look at the map and realize it’s one of the ones Nigel sent us when we purchased Santa Cortez.

“How did you get it?”

“From Aiden,” he replies. “I called him while you were in the shower and he sent it. He also said it would be in your private area of the Dermont directory, but that you’d understand he can’t give me access to your files.”

“You’re very efficient.”

I sit next to him, access the company site, then my private area. In less than five minutes I have my files open and I’m transferring all the island’s maps, surveys, and photos to a folder on Marcus’s computer.

“Now you have the same information I do.”

“Excellent.” He watches as he opens the files and types to print them. “Let me organize all this and we can get moving. I’ve already packed some snacks in my backpack, but if you grab a couple bottles of water, that’d be great.”
