“Santa Fe.”
“Is it your house? Is she a Fletcher?”
The Santa Fe house—the one that catapults Marcus’s career—was commissioned by Arvin Fletcher.
Marcus nods.
“He’s her father.”
“Oh.”
Arvin Fletcher is one of the largest real-estate developers in the country. He started as a New Mexico rancher and was smart with his investments. He’s not as rich as Nick, but he’s not far off. When he hired a relatively unknown architect to build a residence outside Santa Fe, he put Marcus on the map. Later, the house gained notoriety when one of Fletcher’s three daughters murdered her twin and then killed herself. I realize Megan is the surviving daughter.
