Veronica and I were eating dinner peacefully, which was very disturbing. Because meals with Veronica were rarely peaceful.

I was used to her blabbering by now. Therefore, now it felt weird for her to stay silent. Maybe it was because of the way I reacted towards her kissing scene this morning. Even I was shocked at the way I reacted after I got in the car.

I couldn't figure out why I felt like my blood was boiling as I was about to see some other guy's lips on hers. I knew I should not care about some on-screen kiss, but I still couldn't help it—I must have been high.

Suddenly, Veronica's phone rang up while eating. She grinned looking at the caller ID and put it on speaker.

“Hey, Berto!” Veronica chirped. My jaw dropped slightly at the change of her tone.

“Heya, Vero!” Robert chirped back.

I frowned. Seriously, this guy currently was the number one on my hit-list.
