Chapter 32. Cheated
It was around five in the morning, yet Aaron wasn't home. I was sitting in the living room, waiting for him ever since I returned home. The award I won last night was still resting on the coffee table.
Even though I won an award, I still wasn't happy. After I received the award on stage with a big smile, I bawled my eyes out in the restroom. I had no idea what was wrong with me. Why did Aaron's presence matter so much? Why should anything matter before my career?
Right now, I was fighting with my eyelids to the extent I was about to put clothespins on them to keep them open.
After a while, I heard the main gate open and a car pull over. As expected, Aaron entered through the main door and was about to pass by the living room to get on the stairs when he noticed me at the banister.
