Chapter 35. Healed Wound
Aaron pursed his lips, not knowing what to say. After all, I was the worst daughter alive. How could I forget my dad's death anniversary due to all the other things going on in my life? It was already past seven in the evening, yet I didn't remember the whole day.
“Do you want to… go anywhere?” Aaron asked, and I nodded slowly. “To the graveyard?” I nodded again. “Change your clothes first.” He motioned at my drenched pajamas and went to my closet to take out a simple black knee-length dress. He placed the set of clothes in my hand and placed a hand on my cheek. “Get ready, okay?”
I curtly nodded. As Aaron walked out of my room with the cat, I broke down into sobs. Hiccuping on my own tears, I got dressed up and went out without bothering to put on any makeup.
