“Married, huh? That’s… odd. Sorry to be blunt or something. Growing up with Ash, she was saying she’s not like other girls who are ready to rush for marriage,” Lyle said, with a constant smug on his face.
“I guess people just change.”
I was answered with a smirk. I bet he was enjoying this, especially the Ridleys, who were whispering to each other as we talked.
And then I quieted. I was new here, and for all I knew, what I should be working on was my adjustment. I didn’t want to get in any trouble. I should keep away from conflict as much as I can.
