Chapter 171. Impending Danger

The next day, Principal Michelle suggested that we should delay our schedule of going back to the city for three hours due to a bad weather forecast.

Yet we can’t. It’s Monday tomorrow, and there are a lot of things I should take care of. Same with my team, it’s a workday. For Ashlene, I guess she’s also needed in their law firm for some reason. The thing is, we just cannot be delayed. Also, when the night comes, the road becomes too difficult to navigate. They don’t have lights at the sides of the highway. One wrong move, and you’ll be facing death at the bottom of the cliff.

Above us, the sky is indeed telling us that the weather’s going to be a problem. The sun is no more, even at 4:00 in the afternoon. All that’s above us are dark, cottony, heavy clouds. Any minute now if we don’t hurry, the rain would be falling and washing the ground. It would make the road muddy, too.
