Chapter 36. Where’s Dylan?

Dylan wasn’t in the office when I arrived. Neither was Anton.
Dad said the two had met with the client’s family. With the hearing date just around the corner, it was only proper that they should not be wasting more time. Dad was the only person in the office to receive clients, plus the two legal assistants whose names I didn’t remember. Simply because they weren’t introduced to me in the first place.
“What is it, Dad? I don’t have much time for chitchat,” I said the minute he closed the door to his private office.
“This won’t take long. I’m printing a document. All you have to do is hand this over to Lyle. He’ll know what it’s about.”
Okay? That’s it? I was only to be used as a depositary of a document?
I looked at the printer behind him, and just like he said, it was printing a file. I didn’t know what file it was since the papers were upside down, and I couldn’t read it from this distance.
