Chapter 43. Drowning Blues

We reached the place they were talking about. To be honest, it was the first time I went into a place like this. I didn’t go out often, and when I did, it was only for work purposes. Even back in the countryside, I would only go out to run errands for Ashlene and me. I didn’t go out for my own intentions.
This was the first time I did this. I didn’t tell Miggy and Nicho about that, though. I didn’t want to be seen as naïve or something like that. Besides, I was learning to adjust to their world now. And I knew I was with good friends.
“We’ll have an amazing night tonight, Dylan. Don’t worry,” Miggy said.
Miggy locked his car, and the three of us walked side by side to the door. The bouncer checked our IDs and let us inside. Deafening music blared everywhere, and lights of blue, green, and red were dancing with the crowd.
