Chapter 73. The Pause

The bed was lacking a pillow and a blanket, which I’m sure was the one I saw Ashlene holding. I guess our fight’s not like the other fights we have back then. This time’s different. She’s upset. I’m upset. To top it all, Lyle’s here because Anton asked him to come.
I have no idea if the scumbag has now left or something. As for Ashlene, I guess I should wait until tomorrow to talk to her. I know she’s only in one of the rooms in the mansion tonight. It’s best that I will let the situation warm up before I enter the picture and fix things.
Right then, a call came.
It was unexpected. It was from Anton.
“What is it… sir?” I almost forgot the address because of the way I’m feeling at the moment. Also on the conversation I heard.
“Have you seen Ashlene and Lyle? His car’s at the parking lot. She’s not in mother’s bedroom.”
