“I… I don’t understand.”

I was stuttering…Are the fights too intense that she thought of not just ending it all? What? Is our marriage merely just a scrap of paper to her?

“Well, you just have to sign the area at the bottom of the paper. Then you’re no longer married to my sister,” Anton said monotonously.

Of course this is what they all want. To devise something like this to drive me away from the family and from Ashlene.

“I need to talk to Ashlene first.”

“Why do you have to? She already gave you an answer here. Isn’t that enough to tell you she doesn’t want to be married anymore?” Anton added.

If those were true, I wanted to hear the words from Ashlene herself. The silent treatment has to stop now. It’s time to talk to her about our problems and if needs be, ways to resolve them. It doesn’t need to end in an annulment. It just can’t.
