Chapter 81. The Last Try

I just got back to my room when I heard the phone ring. It was a call from my husband. And I don’t know why he is calling me.
I sighed when I saw who the call was from. I just finished eating my brunch when it came. Dad told me in an angry tone that my husband did not go to work today. He said he’s on leave, but did not say where or why.
So, I answered the phone. I wanted to know where he is now and why did he file a leave from work. It was the first time he did that.
“Dylan?”
“Good, you’re awake. Meet me at the Morning Coffee Drive in 15 minutes.”
Before I could protest, he ended the call. It was intentional, I know. He ended that soon because he knows I would be asking more questions. I know him. I know how he plays his tricks.
But I guess… I have to be there. I owe him that. I am aware Dad gave him until the end of this day to give his answer to the annulment papers. Maybe he asked for a meet because he needed clarity. He deserves
