Chapter 64
While the students trooped out of the lecture hall, Pastor Alozie almost fell off from where he stood, answering his mobile phone after the seventh call. He was not moved by Bam-Bam’s teary voice over the phone but rather by the information she gave. He immediately summoned his driver while writing down the address of the hospital where I’d been admitted.
“You’re not going to die, Tio…I’m going to see the end of this nonsense very soon.”
A few minutes later, his SUV sped out of the Rivers State University of Science and Technology premises. The driver ignored Pastor Alozie’s prayer in the back seat and concentrated on the steering wheel and other motorists.
Immediately, the SUV entered the parking lot in the hospital’s parking space; the driver had barely switched the engine off when the Pastor jumped out, buttoned his jacket, and hurried to the reception. He composed and introduced himself to the nurse at the reception while trying hard not to look apprehens
