“I’ll bring it for you,” she whispered, patting my cheek, while Pastor Alozie began to pray. When the prayer was over, both were still on their feet and reluctant to leave, while Bam-Bam kept d****** a handkerchief on her eyes.
“I know I’ll stay here for a long time, but it’d definitely not be forever. The blood, the bones, the arteries, veins, and all the organs affected by the accident will be fine with time.”
“The doctor told me you might be here for two months or more.”
Bam-Bam whispered as she looked at me like a visitor seeing someone for the first time. Slowly, she picked up her handbag and adjusted her black jacket while Pastor Alozie watched us in amusement.
“Bam-Bam, when is my birthday in July?”
“Oh, that is 17th… your birthday is July 17.”
