Chapter 11. Marissa Knows It
Madeline's POV
I cold cocked two of the guards that were roaming around the palace. Thank goodness that it was already dark, so it won’t be hard for me to climb up the wall just like Prince Arthur and I did when we assassinated the king. I’m wearing black combat clothes, so I can blend in the black evening. I tiptoed through the hallway of the palace, my posture and vision vigilant in case guards would notice me.
“I don’t intend to take care of the slaves. The citizens in the village are nothing but useless rats.”
I silently gasped when I heard steps of shoes and voices, so I immediately hid behind a huge vase in the hallway. When I peeked to the direction where the voice came from, my eyes squint when I saw the older prince talking to a septon. I recognize him since… he was the one who talked with Master Aemon to kill his father. A crown was on his head -- a king’s crown.
