Chapter 19. The Oath Madeline Made

Madeline's POV

I stared directly at the ceiling while lying down my bed. The bare walls of the room was watching me drowning in my thoughts. The crickets outside of the palace were like sound effects and instead of being annoyed by its loudness, they calm me and made me think that I am not alone. I suddenly remembered the conversation between Count Reymar and Duchess Azalea.

That tomorrow will be the revelation of Countess Marissa's prophecy in this lifetime. Although I have the knowledge of what is going to happen to her, I am still bothered on its real life experience.
