Chapter 30. Battle!

Instantly, two men climbed the stage carrying a ballot box with several sticks. Each stick had a number on it from one to fourteen. Once they placed it in the center stage at the forefront of the stage, they quickly left. 

“All participants will walk over to the box and pick a stick. Whatever number you pick will determine the day you will fight…” The kingmaker continued. “The number you pick will be your identity throughout the tournament. The only Wolf that will be acknowledged at the end of this tournament will be the wolf that wins. You may draw your lot.”

Every fighter stood up and hurried over to the ballot box. Even though none of them had seen Cal's wolf, they still didn't want to be the first to fight. Therefore, they all rushed to the left of the ballot and started struggling for the last four sticks. 

There was a good reason for this.
