Chapter 34. Bernard's Fate
“Continue,” Kurt said to the Kingmakers in a deep voice.
“My Prince, as I was saying, we have already concluded the battle of the Alphas. We are just awaiting some key elders of the house of Hank. Once they get here in a couple of days, we will conduct the seat ascension.”
“I see.” Kurt nodded. “In that case, elder Cal of the house of Hank, I challenge you in a battle of Alphas for the seat of Blue-Mist pack!” Kurt casually proclaimed.
His voice was low, raspy, and deep, but each word sounded like a clap of thunder in Cal's ears.
Prince Kurt, a royal blood like himself, had challenged him for his seat. A seat he righteously won. But instead of being arrogant or angry, Cal crashed to his knees and hit his head on the ground.
“My Prince!” He yelled with a terror-filled voice. “ I dare not accept this challenge. I forfeit the seat!”
The Kingmakers were shocked. What was this?
