The first thing I felt was the pain in my wrist and shoulders when I regained consciousness. My hands were tied above my head, the iron chains biting into me as I dangled in the air with my feet far from the ground, forcing my shoulders to bear most of my weight.
I caught their foul scent before I lifted my head slowly and saw the rogues.
There were more than twenty of them standing around the warehouse, their eyes glowing with cruelty and hunger. Some leaned against broken pillars, others circled me like predators waiting for permission to tear me apart.
