Max’s POV

Ava had barely spoken since we boarded the plane. Not that I expected her to. She was making it obvious that she wanted to keep her distance from me.

But it was only a matter of time before everything changed. This trip in Paris was going to change everything.

The plane landed in the airport and we alighted the car that I had prepared for us. We arrived at the hotel and I noticed Ava watching the glass coated building with wide eyes. She groaned but I knew she was impressed.

“Five stars, really?” She raised her eyebrows at me.

“You only get the best,” I reminded her.

She scowled at me. “Are you sure this is a simple business trip or you came here to have some fun?”

“It’s just a business trip,” I smiled, “but it won’t hurt to have some fun, right Sophie?”

Sophie laughed and nodded. “This hotel is like a castle!”
