Chapter 50. I Can’t Lose Control
Ava’s POV
“Mama, we are going to Disneyland.” she grinned.
I smiled and stuck a stray strand of hair behind her ear. “Yes, baby. You’ve been such a good girl. You deserve it.”
Max came into the room wearing three hats on his head, Mickey ears, of course.
“For the princess,” he bowed low as he placed one on Sophie’s head.
She clapped and laughed. “What about Mommy?”
He winked at me with a smug grin and pushed into my hands a shiny pink hat. “For the Queen.”
I rolled my eyes, but took it anyway, fighting the smile spreading to my face.
We left the hotel and took the car Max had arranged. Sophie stuck her head out the window the entire ride, taking in every hint, every bend, every tree as if it were all its own fairyland.
Max scooted over beside me. “She’ll never forget this.”
I shrugged. “She’d better. I’m already tired and we haven’t even arrived yet.”
