They got to their rooms; Ruth’s was right beside his room. Room 205 was Clayton’s and 206 was Ruth’s. It wasn’t enough space for her, but at least it was something.

They both didn’t speak to each other right from the airport stop, through the long drive, until the concierge handed them their luggage and left.

“Get some rest, Ruth. We have a long day tomorrow.” She gave a poor smile and immediately opened the door with the key given to her.

He rushed into his room. She locked her door and leaned on it. It felt like a burden had been lifted from her chest. She sighed and took off her stiletto heels, dragging her mini box to the bedside.

The room was really spacious and beautiful. The all-white blanket, the cool air-con, and the nice earth-scent lavender fragrance. She decided to unpack before having her bath.
