Chapter 15. Moments
“My dear child, I am going to miss you so much and you know if right?” she said squeezing Tiana’s hands.
“I’ll call every day. I am sure you won’t even miss me. It will just be like I am right here and before you know it, I’ll be back for more pancakes.”
The tears were very close to dropping now and she couldn’t escape. Thankfully the doorbell rang and Tiana used the opportunity to jump away from the breakfast table.
“Are you expecting someone?” Her aunt called after her.
Tiana quickly wiped off the tears that were threatening to spill. She dabbed under her eyes with the back of her sleeves and sniffed away the signs.
“I should be asking you that question,” she called back.
She pulled the door open and the pain she had felt earlier got replaced with anger.
“Didn’t I ask you to stay away?” She blurted in anger.
