Musa gave a small smile. “Isn’t it obvious? You can see the resemblance, can’t you?”
Her chest tightened. “Who are you to Khalid?”
He gestured toward his limo. “Come inside. You’ll appreciate talking in a closed space.”
Mei hesitated, glancing back toward the hotel entrance—but curiosity won. She stepped in. The guard shut the door firmly behind her.
She crossed her arms. “Alright. Who are you to Khalid?”
Musa’s expression didn’t change. “His heir.”
Mei’s breath caught and her throat tightened painfully.
“Don’t act like you’re shocked,” he continued. “You knew he was a married man from Africa.”
Mei stiffened. “And? He promised he would be here with me. But he left. Whatever—tell him I want nothing to do with him anymore.”
Musa shook his head. “I’m not here to ask if you still want him. Charlotte is the only daughter of the Khalid family. We are six sons. She is to be protected at all cost.”
