Chapter 21. My Weakness, My Name
Cross is always the one teaching me. He may be patient and calm, but it doesn’t make my temperament any better.
Not missing his strikes happen to be my forte. And I respond with anger each time—I tend to punch or strike him too hard. But it only ends in me being hurt.
“You have to ease your anger, Tara,” Chelsea coos.
I yell instead, “My anger is what fuels my revenge!”
She takes over from Cross. Underrating her skill, I attempt to battle her only to find myself on the floor, wincing from the aches in my bones.
The woman stands above me and points her wooden sword at me as if telling a defeated fighter that they’ve lost.
“Revenge with anger only makes you run in the dark,” she says softly.
I can’t help chuckling. “I know what you’re doing. You’re furnishing my pain and anger; using it to create something bigger—” I stagger
