Chapter 14

“Hey, man. Why are you lying on the floor?” Gabriel said as he slapped Lycanthropos on his lap. “Mike, Mike, are you okay?”

Lycanthropos grumbled as he rolled over on his side and opened his eyes. “Is it morning already?” he asked.

“Jesus, it’s 10 already. Were you drinking last night or something? And the house looks like a mess.”

Lycanthropos stood up from the floor and rubbed his eyes. His whole body ached from the pain he’d been through last night. There was severe sciatic pain that ran down his left leg. Ten seconds passed, then twenty and thirty, and finally, the pain started pulling back like the tide going out. It left his fingers first and then slowly worked its way up his arm. Lycanthropos took a couple of deep breaths and then started to walk again.

“I’m so sorry. I fell asleep on the couch. I was….”
