Chapter 9
The classroom was a hubbub of students from every background, wide-eyed and eager to learn. But none came close to Lycanthropos’ intelligence.
“Where did you learn that?” Professor Wittgenstein asked Lycanthropos after he elaborated on the role of prions in the transmission of Crutzfedlt-Jakob disease. “That’s supposed to be post-graduate knowledge.”
“I don’t know, I’ve been reading a lot.”
Since Lycanthropos joined the university as a freshman, he’d impressed every professor who came across him. Other students had gotten used to his explaining whatever was being taught, and he was somewhat of a celebrity genius in all his classes.
“You know, maybe you should join one of those Ph.D. students to do their research since you have all of this knowledge,” one student told him.
“That’s possible?” he had responded, eager to join in on the suggestion he’d received.
