Chapter 10
“So, you’re the new lab assistant?” Joe said to his new assistant, Lycanthropos. He was skeptical about him. He half expected someone in his late teens or early twenties. He couldn’t seem to figure out how old Lycanthropos was.
“Yes, sir,” Lycanthropos responded.
“You don’t have to call me sir. You can call me Joe. What’s your name?”
“Michael.”
Joe stood up and directed him with his hand, and they both walked towards the main lab.
“So, the Dean mentioned that you are very smart.”
“The Dean? Wow.”
“Why are you so surprised to hear that? Hasn’t he ever told you that?”
“I’ve never even met the Dean.”
“Oh, well.”
As if to test his intelligence, just as the Dean had said, he threw him a question: “What do you know about virions?”
Lycanthropos scoffed as though that was the simplest question he’d expected from a Ph.D. researcher. “Virions are capsid encapsulated viruses that have nucleic a*** as well as protein layers.”
