Part 5. Chapter 60

Antoine was visiting Edgar again, enjoying the company of his vampire child and burying his head in vampire hedonism, when he received the summons from Yuu.

“What is it?” Edgar asked as they lazily fed on the women smoking in his attic room. 

“Oh…uh…” Antoine shut his eyes and felt the mental tickling that suggested his maker was contacting him. “Just thought of Yuu out of the blue.”

“Oh. So, Yuu’s calling. Tch,” Edgar realized, then turned back to feeding on his favorite prey.

Antoine nodded, well aware that Edgar and Yuu didn’t get along. He tried to ignore the summons and return to his meal, then winced as he felt viscerally and instinctively that he had to go to Yuu as soon as possible.

“He’s calling me,” Antoine said, rubbing his aching head. “I don’t even know where he is these days, but it must be far because the signal is faint. I’ll be back as soon as I sort this out,” he said.
