As they walked down the road to Henri’s apartment, which was close to Antoine’s, they stopped at a liquor store and bought expensive bottles of champagne. Then, as a precaution, they had a feed of some young men they met at the Absinthe house along the way.
“We can’t have you going in there hungry,” Antoine said when they had stopped by there.
“Relax, Antoine. They’re my friends. I could never!” Pierre insisted.
“Some people can be irresistible, and people who you know are easier to fall for. Don’t forget how much I loved drinking from you in the past,” Antoine replied.
Pierre stopped, pulled Antoine into the shadows, and gently kissed him.
“I would never enjoy another human like you enjoyed me,” he promised.
