When Rachel was done walking away, Tom stepped into the room and shut the door behind him.

Emily tried talk, but Tom wouldn’t let her. “Me first, Emily.” Tom said and Emily went ahead to sit on her bed.

“About earlier... I wasn’t angry at you, I wasn’t trying to get you angry either. I was having a bad morning and when I heard you weren’t at home, I couldn’t just take it.”

“I understand, dad.” Emily replied him, attempting to end the conversation before it even began.

“No, let me finish.
