Martinez’s eyes shimmered with excitement. “Legend has it that these attacks didn’t just start now, but have been on for ages and some humans knew about it and kept the wolves secret in exchange to keep their families safe hence, what I thought was Hank’s role in this.”

Tom shivered involuntarily, drawn into the chilling tale. “That’s... spooky. But why were you interested in it?”

She grinned. “Well, I believe in exploring the unknown, uncovering mysteries. The werewolves theory was the perfect opportunity to delve into uncharted territory. Plus, it would make for an intriguing theory when we meet with the other guys.”

Tom’s curiosity awakened a sense of adventure within him. “Perhaps, Martinez, we can continue our exploration together. I’ve been investigating the werewolf angle for a while now and Rachel came to me about some findings of hers earlier maybe, we’d work on it, but it’s just the three of us, no one else.”

Martinez’s eyes sparkled with approval.
