Chapter 35
Sweat trickled down his face as he glanced around, his heart beating faster than ever, his enlarged eyes scanning the darkroom as the sounds of crickets filled his ears.
Robert breathed deeply, the images in his dream kept flashing in his mind. He lay still as his heart couldn’t decide what was happening, the beaten man in his dream was him. The sight of it was so terrifying that his body exploded in great pain. “What’s wrong?” he asked himself, his eyes flickering around looking puzzled.
The unknown men in his dreams were his main concern, who are those men? What do they want from him? Why were they all covered in black? Why is the beaten man’s face just like his? Why couldn’t we see the faces of the attackers?
All these questions passed through his mind as more sweat dripped down touching his mouth as he tasted the salty liquid enraging his taste bud.
