“What do you mean by ‘we’re going out’?” I asked, sparing him a glance.

He stared back at me. “Exactly what you heard. And I don’t want to hear any more questions.”

I followed him with my eyes as he rose to a standing position and made his way to his room.

“It’s confirmed this man is not okay in the head,” I muttered, shaking my head.
