Two days had passed, but nothing had changed. On the contrary, Hunter’s torture only intensified. He found every opportunity to hurt me, and if I objected, he used force. I had grown tired of his antics, to the point where I didn’t even feel the pain anymore. I got used to it. I was just waiting for death to take me, hoping it would relieve me from the torture and pain.

Sometimes, I felt like using any object to slit my wrist, to let the pain out of me. However, I couldn’t bring myself to do that, not when I knew my mother was all alone. Father had left us early, and she was already facing a rough phase in life. I didn’t want to add more to her struggles.

Hunter never stepped out of the house, and when he did, he locked me inside. He didn’t give me a chance to rest, turning me into his slave. All because I had rejected him. But what confused me even more was why he was still holding me captive when he had rejected me too.
