“She should avoid using her hand too much. Thankfully, it’s not that deep, but if proper care is not taken, it might turn serious.”
I slowly opened my eyes to unfamiliar surroundings.
“You’re up,” I heard the unknown voice say beside me. It was the doctor. My eyes shifted to the side to see Hunter staring me down. I couldn’t pinpoint the expression on his face. I bet he was happy that I was in such a situation.
I managed to lift myself to a sitting position. “Water, please,” I mumbled out, my voice coming out raspy.
The doctor reached for the bottle of water that was sitting on one of the seats and poured some into a glass, handing it over to me. I gulped it down immediately. I cleared my throat, feeling a bit better.
“Miss Rose, you should be extra careful next time. Thank God you were brought in on time. God forbid something bad happened, it would’ve been worse.”
