I lifted my head, omitting a sound as I ground my teeth at my enemy. Cladding my claws on his neck, a grieving sound found its way out of him as he tried to set himself free from my attack. However, I had already found the spot that would defeat him, and it did. He let out an unbeknownst sound before falling flush on the grass, turning into his human form.
I instantly recognized him. He was one of Nathaniel’s men. He was still resorting to cheap tactics. I changed back to my human form, seeing the full moon was about to disappear. He really wanted me to come face to face with his father. I thought bringing Rose would be much safer. Papa wasn’t helping matters. He knew how bad I wanted the throne. I was yet to receive the information about Rose’s parents from Ian. My instinct was telling me there was more to her parents, and the way Papa mentioned her mother’s name, he knew something. And I was bound to find out. It might lead to something.
