Chapter 51
Rose Greyson
Just as the elevator door opened, Hunter walked past me without saying anything. I was supposed to go back to the second floor, where I was heading in the first place before he pressed the third-floor button, but curiosity got the better of me, and I found myself running after him. He was almost out of my sight, but my long legs helped me catch up.
“You’re yet to answer me,” I said as I reached him.
“I thought you’re not interested in working with me. Why ask, then?” he replied, still not looking at me, and continued walking. I followed him, trying to keep up with his fast stride. We ended up in front of a black door, and that’s when I realized I was supposed to be at the doctor’s office for a checkup, yet here I was following him around like a lost puppy.
“Miss Rose, as you can see, I’m busy right now, and I bet you also have somewhere to be, so why don’t we leave this discussion for another time? Maybe later,” he suggested.
