Chapter 64. Where Are They?

Nolan’s POV

I opened the car door and slid into the front passenger seat while Rowan climbed back. The car’s interior was dark and sleek, the scent of leather mingling with something faintly metallic that made my skin prickle. I couldn’t shake off the anxiety gnawing at the edges of my mind.

Atlas took the driver’s seat, and I felt the tension coil in the space between us, thicker than the air before a storm.

I noticed how he revved the engine and checked all his mirrors before speeding off. I glanced out the window, watching the surroundings blur by as we sped off. “So, What’s our plan once we reach the warehouse?”

Atlas shot me a glance, lips curving into a faint smile that didn’t reach his eyes. “As previously mentioned, we’re going to assess the situation. Intelligence gathering first, then we hit them hard if it looks like a fight is inevitable.”

“Ok. Just so we’re on the same page, I’m not here to play nice. I want my family back,” I replie
