Chapter 66. I Can’t Stay Here

Nolan’s POV

I barely registered the chaotic whispers drifting through the room. My world had shrunk to the singular thought that Griffin had my family—he had Evelyn and Ethan. Unfortunately, I was still unable to connect to Evelyn and her wolf. It was driving me crazy inside, and I longed to see her beautiful face. It felt like I hadn’t seen her for so long already; my mind wandered back to my beta and how he was doing. I knew he would hate to see what was happening right now.

Atlas caught my eye, and his brow furrowed. “This changes everything. We didn’t expect Cameron to be taken out. I’m glad he’s no longer a problem in this city, but we still have to find out where they could be. I think that if Griffin has them, it could be a thread we can pull on,” he murmured as he stroked his chin thoughtfully.

“Pull on it. How?” I snapped without giving him a chance to explain his words. The urgency to get them both back to me, clawing at my insides all over again.
