Nolan’s POV

“Bunch of idiots,” I mumbled to myself as I took one last look at those pathetic morons. Making our way out of the warehouse silently was difficult because every fibre of my being screamed at me to turn around and charge at those imbeciles. They deserved a slow, painful, and agonising death for even daring to contemplate harming my mate and my child. I felt as if there was a heavy weight pressing down on my chest. My mate and child were vulnerable without me, especially in Griffin’s reach.

“Hey, Nolan. Come on. You need to focus.” Rowan said softly, pulling me back from the edge of my nightmare thoughts.

Inhaling deeply through my nostrils, I forced myself to take control of myself.
