Chapter 6

Sofia's POV

The next morning, when I opened my eyes, my whole body ached. I yawned and stretched my body out. When I sat up, I noticed I was alone on the king-size bed.

I got up and went to the bathroom to take a shower. Patting my wet hair down with a towel, I walked out.

Sterling was looking out of his bedroom window. I cleared my throat, and he turned around. He was stunned for a moment but quickly changed his expression in the blink of an eye.

I looked down and realized why. I was wearing his shirt. It was the only thing I could find.

“Here,” he handed me an envelope. “These are your documents. I’ve made all your arrangements. We’re leaving in an hour.”

I took the contents out of the envelope and scanned them. They looked legal enough.

“How are we leaving?”

“With my private jet,” he answered shortly and walked out without saying anything else.

I opened my new passport. I was now Ivana Horvat, born on 16/09/19
