“Are you sure you are okay?” Granny Daisy asked Zevara for the upteenth time today. “We can quickly see the doctor before you go back to the Eclipse Pack.”

Zevara smirked broadly, holding her arm tightly. “I’m fine, mom. The moment Magnus arrived, it was like the children could already feel his presence. The pains disappeared, and they started moving around again.”

“Alright then.”

Granny Daisy stared over at Magnus through the door that was left ajar. He was standing by the balcony, his hands shoved into his pockets as he stared at the hills that surrounded them.

“He really loves you a lot, Zevara,” she whispered, beaming. “You both should get married soon. Please don’t forget to invite me to the wedding. I would arrive a week before the date.”

Zevara nodded as she stared back at Magnus, her heart thudding loudly. Then her face crumpled. “But I’m still sad that you wouldn’t be coming along with us now.”
