“There is poison inside it!” Talon screamed loudly, his chest racing so hard he could hear the pounding in his ears.

Everyone’s attention snapped to him, the tension in the atmosphere thickening with each passing second.

“What do you mean?” Magnus asked, confused. Then, when he realised Talon was supposed to be in his dorm and not standing there making such claims, his eyes flashed with anger. “What the hell are you doing here?” he growled, slamming his fists on the long table.

“Father!” Talon called desperately. “That is not important right now.” He walked up to Larissa, his fingers digging into her arms as he dragged her toward Magnus. “I think she added poison to Zevara’s herbal. I saw her in the kitchen—”

“What the hell are you saying, Talon?” Zevara asked, placing the herb gently on the table and putting the lid back on it. “How could Larissa try to poison me? Why would she even do that?”
