“Why the hell would you order the guards to arrest me?” Nina snapped, glaring at Magnus as the guards led her and Talon into the mansion. “I have done nothing wrong, yet you threw me into the dungeon. This is so unfair, and I think it is truly time that I leave this place where I am neither loved nor wanted.”
She placed her hands on her hips, swaying frantically as barely restrained rage coursed through her.
Talon stood behind her. He already understood everything, so he simply lowered his head, his hands clasped together.
Magnus leaned against the bar, a bored expression on his face as he swirled the glass of wine in his hand.
