“The Alpha said I should give this to you, Princess Nina,” Evans said, extending a sleek black bank card toward her. “He said it is his final act as your father, to make sure you don’t lack. The password is your birthdate.”

Nina’s gaze shifted between the card and Evans’ face, her teary eyes widening.

She did not expect her father to still be that thoughtful despite everything she had done. He still cared. He still loved her.

Why couldn’t she have thought of all that before now?

Why couldn’t she have considered the fact that her father wanted her happiness—and that she should have rooted for his happiness too, regardless of whver made it happen?

But she had been blinded by arrogance, by never wanting Zevara to climb higher on the social ladder, and now she had lost everything in the long run.

She burst into another round of tears as regret washed over her once again.

“Take it, Princess,” Evans urged gently. “You wil
