Zevara’s POV

An hour passed and I’m still seated on the same spot professor Silas left me.

My mind is still chaotic with more than a million thoughts crumbling down on me all at once—cold and terrifying.

I don’t even know what I’m supposed to do right now. Professor Silas’ warnings still echd in my mind right now and God.. I wouldn’t even lie that I can’t still wrap my head around it all.

Alpha Magnus’ personality is scary, but then he is like sin and salvation rolled together—one you can neither accept nor reject.

A sharp relentless voice echd in my head like bad music playing on a loop, ‘Run, Zevara. Fucking run without looking back.’ And another calm voice whispered, ‘Don’t be scared, Zevara. You know you needed him and no one would ever know about your relationship.’

And the messier part?

That is the voice I want to obey. The one that assured me not to be scared—not only because I needed him but because I have no other place to go
