Chapter 90. Together Means Both of Us

It takes about an hour to circle around the dark forest. It isn’t as large as I thought it was, not like it seemed when we were attempting to travel through it. It’s hard to believe our caravan could get turned around in something like that.

Relief washes over me when we’re finally back on the main road and heading in the right direction. That creepy chill finally leaves me, and I hope I never have to see that dark forest again.

But then again, it’s part of my kingdom, so there will come a point when I need to figure out what’s going on with those witches and get them under control.

That’s a problem for another day.

Right now, I’m just going to focus on the task ahead. Maybe Assanan thinks we’re still stuck in the forest. If that’s the case, we’ll have the element of surpris
