Luka’s POV

Crystina was excited about seeing Paige. She didn’t stop talking about it for several hours and when she insisted on speaking with her, Gabriel told her Paige was resting. Crystina only believed Gabriel’s words after he sent her a picture of Paige at his pack’s hospital. That only made the situation worse because Crystina started crying after she saw Paige in that condition. Gabriel had to assure her that Paige was fine and that calmed Crystina down.

She began smiling again and I couldn’t help the smile that lingered on my face. She kept on talking about it and we decided to pick Paige up in two days. Around four in the evening, we left the apartment. I was to address the Elders and important people in the pack about the recent development while Crystina would share the good news with Paige’s parents.
