Paige’s POV

"STOP!" A strangulated noise came from within me as I tried to fight off the hands that were pulling me apart. I choked on my own voice as tears pulled down my face like rainwater. I was dying from being torn apart. I could still see that man’s face from that terrible night.

He was smirking, laughing, and rejoicing that he had overpowered me. His voice still echoed in my mind, mocking me. His scent suddenly surrounded me and I felt like throwing up. I shook through the core of my nightmare and emerged like a wounded wolf. I was defeated, hurt, and speechless.
